There’s no shortage of places to grab a bite from a food truck these days. For many, especially those who work in downtown Phoenix, that next culinary adventure could be parked just outside your office door on any given day.
If you find yourself near 12th Street and Jefferson, the Food Truck Meet Up at the New Times building poses one such opportunity. This Friday, the event will feature local trucks including L.A.’s famous Grilled Cheese Truck.

The Grilled Cheese Truck now operates in Southern California, Illinois, and Michigan in addition to Phoenix. The menu includes a selection of gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches such as a Cheesy Mac and Rib, Goat Cheese Melt, and sweet options like the S’mores Melt.
Will you step up to support New Times this year?
At New Times, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $15,500 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $30,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of New Times, now’s the time to give back.
You can catch the Grilled Cheese Truck, Q Up BBQ , and Gigi’s Cupcakes from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, March 29, at the New Times building located at 1201 East Jefferson Street.
