Earlier this year, the owners of Central Bistro, the New American eatery located at 3160 East Camelback Road, sold the restaurant to a new group of owners that includes one of the Valley’s top chefs. Former owner Osio Culinary Group sold the restaurant on January 21, and it has been under new ownership since that date.
Bistro Partners, the group that now owns the restaurant, comprises partners James Shough, Mark Drinkwater, Brian Raab, and Matt Carter — the last being the well-respected chef behind three other restaurants in Scottsdale: Zinc Bistro, The Mission, and The House Brasserie.
Osio Culinary Group founder German Osio says selling Central Bistro, which he opened in 2012, gives the company a chance to “sharpen our focus on aggressively expanding SumoMaya at a national level,” according to a press release.
The Osio Culinary Group still operates three other restaurants in metro Phoenix: Local Bistro, SumoMaya, and Kale & Clover.
