60: Chicken Quesadilla from Papago Brewing

Papago Brewing is a beer lover’s destination, with brewery flair decorating the walls and what seems like hundreds of different beer taps adorning exposed rafters. The awesome selection of craft beer on tap includes their excellent in-house IPA and sweetly floral Orange Blossom. We like sharing a pizza or a couple apps and working our way through their excellent roster of local brews, and the chicken quesadilla never fails to hit the spot, even after a couple heavy stouts.

The chicken quesadilla was more than big enough for a couple people to share, and was packed with well-seasoned chicken and a variety of other southwest goodies. Ooey gooey cheese melted into sweet caramelized onions. The flavor was offset by smoky, roasted green chiles that brought a bit of heat to each bite, and the entire thing was wrapped in a crisp and buttery tortilla finished off on the griddle. Cool sour cream on the side and a bit of extra salsa topped off some seriously delicious bar food. So good that you might want to take the leftovers home and grab a growler of your favorite brew to-go.
