Reader support matters more than ever

We're in the final stretch of our summer campaign. Our goal is to raise $15,000 by August 9 to support the journalism our community relies on. Reader support is helping shape the future of local news.

$15,000

If you drink China Mist bottled tea and want tickets to the Arizona Diamondbacks game on September 9, this is for you.

Twitter was designed to answer the question “what are you doing,” but local promoters Activating Word of Mouth are using the social media site to create a stir for Scottsdale-based China Mist’s bottled teas. They’ve based an event, dubbed the “Tweet-Hunt” that asks anyone interested in winning Diamondbacks tickets to tweet images of themselves drinking six flavors of China Mist tea in front of every AJ’s Fine Foods location in The Valley.

This is only the first of what Activating Word of Mouth intends to be a monthly series of tweet hunts. Maybe next month you’ll have to drink a bottle of Kilt-lifter in front of every Bashas to win a free cab ride home and a few Asprin.
