Out with the Oakville, in with the new.
Last October, Oakville Grocery Co., the ex-eatery and gourmet groceries spot at Downtown’s CityScape, saw some controversy when the Arizona Republic reported its owner and operator, Michael A. Webb, was booted out in under three months by CityScape’s developer, RED Development LLC, due to a host of financial woes.
File that under ancient history.
Last week, Chloe’s Corner, the fast casual spot of breakfast, lunch, early dinner, and 50-cent cups of coffee, opened in the old Oakville space. From restaurateur Sam Fox and Ashly Young, a former Fox associate who purchased the original Chloe’s Corner location in Scottsdale’s Kierland Commons from Fox in 2010 to branch out on her own, the eatery will offer hot and cold sandwiches, salads, pizza, breakfast items, and a variety of grocery items — including meals to-go.
