Hungry for your early morning serving of food news, with no preservatives or additives?
Locally Grown Chow
Starting today it’s going to be even easier to put locally grown produce on your dinner table. Chow Locally has teamed up with Arizona farmers to create a one-stop-shopping site to put the produce you want in your hands. Every Sunday farmers will post their bounty on the Chow Locally website then you just have to log on Monday through Thursday and pick out what you want. Farmers will harvest your goods Friday and then deliver everyone’s wishes to the Downtown Phoenix Pubic Market Saturday mornings for pick up. No contracts and you won’t get anything you don’t want. It doesn’t get much easier then that! Click here to get all the details.
Booze-y Sorbet
We are already sure we are going to need a drink after a Monday like today (yes it’s still early, but seriously, It’s Monday) Since it’s still hot enough to fry an egg, we’ll be having our evening pick-me-up in sorbet form. Delicious red wine sorbet form. Wanna learn how to make your own? Hop over to Cooking Weekends for the recipe.

Will you step up to support New Times this year?
At New Times, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $15,500 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $30,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of New Times, now’s the time to give back.
