It’s been a long time since North Scottsdale restaurant Cibo e Vino closed its doors for renovations. In 2014, the Italian restaurant announced via Facebook that it would “be closed briefly” after Sunday, August 3.

Apparently, “briefly” meant 10 months, but after the long wait the restaurant is finally ready to reopen. Located at 34522 North Scottsdale Road, on the southwest corner of Scottsdale Road and Carefree Highway in the Terravita Marketplace, the restaurant serves a menu of Italian dishes inspired by chef/owner John Collura and his family’s recipes.

The newly redone restaurant now seats more than 300 people between the indoor and outdoor dining spaces. It’s approximately doubled in size from 2,200 to 4,500 square feet. There now are two patios for diners to enjoy — an uncovered front patio and a second outdoor dining space that seats up to 75 people.

Cibo e Vino also added a 30-seat indoor/outdoor bar equipped with nine flatscreen televisions.

Though the appearance of the restaurant has changed, diners can expect to find the same menu Cibo e Vino served before its closure. The menu includes a selection of appetizers, flatbreads, pizzas, pastas, and salads, as well as entrées such as eggplant parmigiana and chicken picatta.

Cibo e Vino also offers happy hour daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and all day on Sunday.
