Oh, Joe, say it ain’t so. X-Tapa Joe’s, the North Scottsdale Mexican restaurant, has been X’d out: The restaurant has shuttered.
Located at 7500 East Pinnacle Peak Road, the lively Mexican spot was a favorite with the neighborhood’s locals.

X-Tapa Joe’s featured Mexican dishes such as quesadillas, chicken tortilla soup, chimichangas, and house specialties including a chicken enchilada casserole, house chili, and carne picado.
A recording on X-Tapa Joe’s phone states the restaurant is closed and a sign on its door directs customers to Soul Cafe, a restaurant serving American food nearby.
