Renovations are well underway at the old Regions Bistro space at 9343 E. Shea Blvd. in North Scottsdale, as new tenants Stone & Vine Urban Italian ready for a planned late April/early May opening.
Massive rustic wooden doors lead into the revamped space, which has the same layout as the original with the addition of a gorgeous dark wood bar area and a graphic mural of a Hollywood starlet dominating one wall. Faux weathered brick and an open, industrial ceiling complete the look.
The menu has yet to be finalized, but will include traditional pasta dishes, bruschetta and pizzas cooked in a modern stainless steel pizza oven. Their chef has been testing out recipes on the staff, from a variety of pizza crusts and topping combinations to spaghetti and meatballs, eggplant parmigiana and chicken piccata.
