Illinois-based winery and restaurant Cooper Hawk’s opened its second Valley location just north of Chandler Fashion Center on Tuesday, September 27. The company opened its first Valley location in Scottsdale in December 2020, its initial venture west of Kansas City.

Similar to the Scottsdale location, the new Chandler store will have a restaurant and winery with wine tastings for customers along with food pairings, a wine club, and a wine retail shop with a selection of wines and accessories. Visitors will enter through a wine tasting room and bottle shop. Inside the restaurant, there is a full-service bar, two private dining rooms, and patio seating with misters.

“Cooper’s Hawk has been so well-received at our Scottsdale location and now our Chandler store that we know our unique wine-driven dining concept will continue to do well across the valley,” says Ami Vanderhoof, Cooper’s Hawk Marketing Manager.

According to Vanderhoff, Cooper’s Hawk is currently eyeing another location in the east Valley for next year, with another possible location in the west Valley the following year.

The company offers memberships that include one limited-production specialty bottle of wine each month, and other perks. Presently, Cooper’s Hawk Wine Club is a community of nearly 350,000 wine enthusiasts. Wine Club members receive rewards, members-only pricing, and domestic and international travel opportunities, along with access to private events hosted by luminaries in winemaking and food.

The wines served and sold at Cooper’s Hawk stores are fermented from grapes shipped around the world to Woodridge, Illinois, the site of the company’s winery. There, about 700,000 cases of wine are produced per year, according to the Cooper’s Hawk website.

The Chandler location at 3325 West Chandler Boulevard is the company’s 47th store nationwide. Vanderhoof says Chandler was an easy choice for a second Valley location.

“From the beautiful desert landscape, its thriving business community, and the warm and welcoming people we met, we knew we had found a home,” she says.
