Hungry for your early morning serving of food news, with no preservatives or additives?

Wino Showdown
Cowboy Ciao owner Peter Kasperski is at it again — this time the self-proclaimed wino is going head-to-head with former cellarmaster and Thomas George Estates operations manager Sean Tevik. The two will battle it out over a five-course meal tomorrow night at 7 p.m at Cowboy Ciao in Scottsdale. Start with three-way risotto pops then move on to jumbo shrimp cocktail, smoked rainbow trout, and fried shortbread ravioli. Finish off your meal with a creamy panna cotta served with a strawberry turnover and mixed berry sorbet. All five-courses will be paired with a wine selection from each of the contestants (that means 10 tastings!) $50 ++ per person, seating is limited, reservations are required: 480-946-3111

Summer Twist Rice Krispie Treats
You’ll never go back to boring Rice Krispie treats again after making these tangy treats: flavored with none other then Kool-Aid packets, and then shaped into a delightful summery watermelon with the help of a cake pan and a few raisins. Click here to see the recipe.
