Tasty crêpes and even more delicious celebrity gossip from Hollywood’s golden age finally come together in a night to benefit ASU’s Center for Film, Media and Popular Culture at the “Dishing On Oscar: Award Tales with Taste” event. Django Unchained and Dinner at Baby Kay’s

Gene Schwam, a Hollywood insider and PR heavyweight, will share his personal take on the Oscars back in the day and today. Schwam has worked with some real superstars, such as Julie Andrews, Elvis Presley, Joan Crawford, Ray Charles and I Dream of Jeannie herself, Barbara Eden.

Since Schwam will have the entertainment covered for the night dishing on the celebs of yesteryear, Jeff Kraus of Crêpe Bar and Truckin Good Food will take care of dinner. The meal will include a multi-course tasting menu utilizing local ingredients, wine and cocktails.

“Dishing on Oscar” happens at Crêpe Bar in Tempe on February 20 at 6 p.m. Tickets for the event, which include the full meal and the talk by Gene Shwam, are $95 and can be purchased in advance on the ASU Foundation’s website. Seating is limited, so reserve your spot if you want to partake.
