Hungry for your early morning serving of food news, with no preservatives or additives?
Dine Out for the Arts Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts has announced details of the 6th annual Dine Out with the Chefs.  For this year’s event, the center has lined up more then 25 chefs, pastry chefs, and restaurants including FnB, Lon’s, T. Cook’s, and Tracy Dempsey, who will showcase their culinary creations on Sunday, October 2nd from 4 to 6 p.m.. Sample everything from appetizers to desserts and wash it all down with an array of wine and tequila tastings. Live music, cooking demos, and a book signing with Pamela Swartz should keep you entertained between bites. Advance tickets are on sale now for $60 per person. Tickets are limited and it’s highly recommended that you purchase yours in advance — you wouldn’t want to be left out! Click here for the full schedule or to purchase tickets. Proceeds will go to The Center’s programs and youth education.

Old-Timey Dessert  Shut the front door! Charlotte Russe is a dessert? And all this time we thought it was just a place to pick up a cheap skirt. This 18th century French dessert is rich with custard and laced with delicious Jim Beam. We’re looking forward to whipping this pretty thing up ASAP! Check out the recipe here
