The Chow Bella staff can not stay out of the kitchen. In anticipation of the Super Bowl, we’ve used our culinary talents to compete in a showdown of dips. After three heavy hitters like Jonathan’s Nothing Left to Lose Beer Cheese and Claire’s Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell Artichoke Dip, and Cheri’s Curry Some Flavor, today we’re chowing down old school with The Teacher’s Lounge Spicy Dip.
You know the scene – mismatched furniture, a copy machine, the Football Office Pool hanging on the wall. A sanctuary far away from the prying eyes and ears of students. Amidst the smell of stale coffee and pencil shavings, this is where a bowl of The Teacher’s Lounge feels right at home.
It contains the dip-essentials — sour cream and mayonnaise — but what gives it its kick is a small can of diced green chili and 2 Tablespoons of jalapeno.
We like it equally well with pita chips or tortilla chips. Take it to your favorite place “to dish”.
