This Sunday, October 5 the first Dish It Out tasting event and cook-off will take place at Salt River Fields in Scottsdale. The new culinary fest comes courtesy of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix and R Entertainment — who have also helped organize Devoured Phoenix — and will bring together more than 60 restaurants and beverage vendors.
The event will also include a Cook-Off, pitting four of the best-known local chefs against each other in a contest to win the title of Cook-Off Champion.

The upscale tasting event — dress code is cocktail attire — will take place in the Home Plate Parking Lot at Salt River Fields. Doors will open to VIP ticketholders at 4 p.m., while general admission will start at 5 p.m.
Participating restaurants include Citizen Public House, Roka Akor, The Mission, Cowboy Ciao, The Local, Bourbon Steak, Sochu House, and many more.
At 5:30 there will be a live cook-off between chefs Christopher Gross of Christopher’s and Crush Lounge, Aaron May of The Lodge, James Porter of Petite Maison, and Matt Carter of The Mission/The House.
A panel of judges that includes James Beard Award-winning chef Robert McGrath, Brady Breese of Urban Cookies, and Mike “Jack” Bauer of Fox Sports will choose a winner, who will be announced at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets to Dish It Out, which are all inclusive, start at $75 per person. VIP tickets cost $500. Admittance is limited to 3,000 people.
