Sweet mother of sugar hill — how amazing do these look?
Last week, Essence Bakery Cafe asked its Facebook followers to choose its next flavor of macaron. The choices? Passion fruit, margarita, and strawberries and cream. Out of 95 responses, strawberries and cream finished first with 40 votes, passion fruit close behind with 38, and margarita in the way-back with 17.
“Notice the little dark vanilla bean specks that make you think of the little seeds in a strawberry – my favorite little detail,” Chef and owner Eugenia Theodosopoulos wrote in an email. “Tastes just like strawberries and cream!”
Strawberries and cream, Essence Bakery’s new macaron flavor, will be available starting today. Now let’s go snag us some.
