The Optima Camelview condominiums, just north of Scottsdale’s Fashion Square, are known for their architecture and landscaping as well as their high-profile tenants (read: professional athletes). But last week, the luxury condo complex got itself an occupant of the food and cocktail ilk.

Courtesy of the folks behind the Switch, Fez, Ticoz, and Bliss ReBar empire, Metropolis opened to the public last Monday. Describing itself as “a cuisine of international comfort favorites inspired by global spices accompanied by a selection of classic cocktails, wine, and beer,” the new restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as sporting a happy hour and weekend brunch.

For a.m. eats, there’s to-go bagel breakfast sandwiches, burritos, and pastries as well as dine-in breakfast dishes. Lunch and dinner mean sandwiches (think Montana Huckleberry Barbecue), salads, gourmet tacos, and meat and seafood entrees. Try a fresh berry trifle for dessert or take in the view on the patio with a cucumber martini.
