Fresh & Easy Barbecue
Tomorrow night from 4 to 6 p.m., the Fresh & Easy on the southeast corner of Indian School and 7th Avenue in Phoenix will be hosting a free community barbecue. Grill expert Neil Strawder a.k.a. Bigmista will be on site sharing grill secrets and tips on how to host the perfect barbecue. Customer will be able to sample Bigmista’s famous Moink Balls, Fresh & Easy’s own kettle chips and there will be plenty of cookies for dessert. The first 100 people who show up receive a free canvas grocery bag.
Made in the Shade
Wanna get out of the heat this weekend? Hit the road and make your way to Flagstaff (barring fire complications) for the Made in the Shade Beer Festival, Saturday June 26 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Coconino County Fairground. This is the biggest and most fun of all the Arizona beer festivals — 100% worth the drive with more than 50 different beers from the southwest and west coast to appease your beer curiosities. Tickets include a souvenir tasting mug and 24 tasting tickets. No one under 21 years old will be allowed into the festival so leave the little ones at home.
