We make regular trips to Giant Coffee for their delicious scones, but this past weekend, we had a different kind of sweet tooth. We were craving a sugary, flavorful iced coffee — and boy, did we get it, with Giant Coffee’s Honey Vanilla Latte.
This java blends just the right amount of coffee, honey,and vanilla flavors. It’s a light toffee color to start with, and there’s no need to add cream or sugar. Everything you could possibly need is already in here.
Each sip brings a wave of flavors. Initially, the honey is the most potent, but there’s a hint of vanilla when it’s going down, too. After each sip, the coffee flavor takes over and sort of lingers on the tongue. But the honey never goes away, which is a good thing — it’s a natural sweetness that goes surprisingly well with coffee.
The energy boost is slightly higher than what we’d get from a regular cup o’ joe, probably because of all the added sugars. But the Honey Vanilla Latte is a perfect morning starter coffee, especially if you’re skipping breakfast.
