James Beard award-nominated chef Gio Osso is getting ready to open his second restaurant, Nico Heirloom Kitchen (366 North Gilbert Road), and needs about 100 new employees for the casual dining spot.
During the next two weeks, Osso and partner Brad Kircher will host two job fairs, hiring for positions ranging from kitchen to service and hosting. The hiring events will be on Sunday, April 3, and Monday, April 4, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 to 6 p.m. A second event will be held on Tuesday, April 12, and Wednesday, April 13, also from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 to 6 p.m.
Attendees should look sharp, bring a resume, and be ready to be interviewed on the spot. Interviewing in person is highly recommended, but if it can’t happen, feel free to e-mail your resume to brad@virtuscottsdale.com.
Nico will join downtown Gilbert’s growing dining scene and will differ from Osso’s Old Town Scottsdale fine-dining venue, Virtu, in atmosphere and simplicity. According to a press release, “Nico is designed to be a breezy neighborhood hangout where Gio feels like he’s cooking delicious, simple food for his closest friends and family.”
