Gross Out: Old Beans and Soiled Apron at Rainforest Cafe

The Rainforest Cafe at Arizona Mills Mall failed its most recent county restaurant inspection — with violiations including one complaint we hadn’t seen before:

COOKS APRON WAS EXTREMELY SOILED.

Yuck! Other no no’s including gravy cooked improperly and chicken stored incorrectly. One employee handled raw hamburger with gloves, then touched ready-to-eat buns –without changing gloves. An employee also handled a cooked hot dog and bun with bare hands.

Expired cooked beans and chili sauce were tossed, as were “heavily cracked” plastic containers. We’re not sure exactly what happened to the apron.
