Do any of you know how hard it is to find a seat in a coffee shop in Tempe during finals week? It’s almost impossible. Earlier this week, I was in dire need of a quiet place to work (away from my dogs) and after hitting up six coffee shops in Tempe, I gave up and headed out to Gilbert. Which worked out great because I was able to finally have breakfast and a hot cup of Stumptown coffee from this extremely popular downtown Gilbert eatery. I chowed down on the American Standard with grilled meatballs and a fuffy biscuit. Do you know where I’m eating?
E-mail the correct answer to whereamieating@newtimes.com and I will randomly pick a winner from all of the correct guesses and send the winner a prize. This week’s winner will receive a $50 gift certificate to Lon’s at the Hermosa. Good luck!
Last week, I had to pay a visit to the Swedish Wal-Mart a.k.a. Ikea for a couple of household items and decided to start my visit a super-cheap breakfast plate. It wasn’t great, but you really can’t complain when breakfast only costs $1.99. This week’s winner is Greg Askins. Have fun at Coach & Willie’s!
