You’d have to be a bit batty not to try Crazy Jim’s, the Mediterranean eatery on 15th Avenue and Indian School Road.

Along with salads as big as your head and pizzas that’ll do in a pinch, Crazy Jim’s also makes a pleasing pita — in part, due to to fresh bread made on the premises. With twelve pitas to pick from, we’d suggest starting with the gyro feta pita.

Featuring wonderfully soft, thick pita bread filled with tender meat, tomato, onions, generous crumblings of feta cheese, and homemade tzatziki sauce, the gyro feta pita from Crazy Jim’s may be a simple creation, but who cares when it tastes this good?
