For Mill Avenue, pretentious can be a good thing….
Enter Caffé Boa, a Mill spot that says “wine bar” where other area businesses say “smelly dive”. Caffé Boa’s Italian-inspired dinner menu might not be in your price range, but the happy hour deals are impressive.
From 4 to 7 p.m. every day, Caffé Boa offers $2 drafts (an exceptional selection, including imports and microbrews), $4 dollar specialty drinks, and ½ priced glasses of wine, as long as they are normally priced at under $10.
What’s also notable is that the bar tenders are knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. And as if that weren’t enough, Caffé Boa offers ½ priced bruschetta, shrimp, and sausage platters from 4 to 7, as well.
Will you step up to support New Times this year?
At New Times, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $17,250 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $30,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of New Times, now’s the time to give back.
Quality beer, wine and food on the cheap? Not bad…at all! Additionally, value and venue (Mill Avenue) don’t detract from the atmosphere. The environment is relaxing and nice enough to dissuade the typical Mill clientele: rowdy frat-boys and wannabe glamour queens. Mill Avenue is a place where business and college life converge and Caffé Boa offers a cosmopolitan experience, while catering to the happy hour demand. A beer, a glass of wine, and the bruschetta will run you between $10-$15.
Caffé Boa is located at 398 S. Mill, on the NW corner of 4th street and Mill Avenue in Tempe.
