With a “coming soon” announcement first reported in January, Brat Haus, an artisan sausage and craft beer concept from restaurateur Dave Andrea (formerly with Old Town Tortilla Factory, Wild Noodles, and Fat Slim’s BBQ), has been keeping diners’ curiosities fed with several events and social media updates before its planned opening on Monday, June 25, in the former Oregano’s at 3622 North Scottsdale Road in Old Town Scottsdale.

Leading the restaurant’s charge of grilled sausages, burgers, Belgian fries, hand-twisted pretzels, and desserts is chef Payton Curry (Digestif, Caffe Boa), who, in January, parted ways with Fabulous Food Fine Catering after just a few weeks, following his being selected to run the Desert Botanical Garden’s new restaurant.

So what’s on Curry’s menu for Brat Haus? Let’s take a peek.

Curry’s Brat Haus menu will feature a variety of grilled sausages, made in-house or locally by Schreiners Sausage Co., burgers ground daily, hand-twisted pretzels featuring locally ground Hayden Flour Mill flour, and housemade desserts.

Of course, you can wash it all down with one of 24 beers on tap, including brews from Germany and Belgium, a glass of wine, or one of a variety of shakes that can be served up straight or “adult style.”
