In these politically charged times it’s nice to see local businesses choosing to honor the fallen in the least political way possible: By offering free ice cream to those who rush in when everyone else is rushing out.
In remembrance of 9/11 both Sweet Republic and Lee’s Cream Liqueur are offering free ice cream to any first responder who shows up in uniform or with identification.
According to Sweet Republic’s Facebook, this includes police, fire, emergency department personnel and emergency medical technicians.
