The challenges facing local news organizations are very real. That's why reader support matters more than ever. If you believe independent journalism matters, make a contribution today and help us reach our summer fundraising goal of $15,000 by August 9.
Yep, Nello’s in Old Town Scottsdale is no more.
There’s no pizza deficit, though. Now, in place of that longstanding local favorite is a new, family-owned restaurant called Jac’s Pizzeria. It opened about a month ago at 7213 E. 1st Ave.
The website isn’t up yet, but look for East Coast-style thin-crust pizzas with homemade sauces. Donald Rini (Marriott Camelback Inn) is the executive chef.
Jac’s is open from 11 a.m. to midnight, Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 1 a.m., Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday.
