Pushing, shoving, possible lethal trampling. There’s no time like Black Friday, the traditional start of the Christmas shopping season, to see humanity at its very best.

Best Crepes 2012 – Crepe Bar
Which may be why Jeff Kraus of Crépe Bar in Tempe is doing something a little sweet (and savory if you’d like) prior to the starting bell.
Kraus’ Crépe Bar is staying open from late night ’til early morning for what it’s calling a Black Friday Fuel-Up. Closed for regular business on Thanksgiving Day and the Friday following, Crépe Bar will be open between those times — from 11 p.m. Thursday night until 8 a.m. Friday morning — to give shoppers (or those who just want to pop by) a tasty boost before the day’s craziness.
Along with a special menu of sweet and savory baked items, guests at the Black Friday Fuel-Up can also take advantage of a special holiday espresso.
And if after the big day (and weekend) you still haven’t found that perfect present, there’s always a gift certificate to Crépe Bar (available by contacting erin@crepe-bar.com or stopping by the restaurant starting on Sunday) — a gift as nice to give as to receive.
