Restaurant critic John Mariani, who contributes to national publications such as Esquire, just published the first installment of a feature called “Scottsdale and Beyond” on his website.
He visited Digestif, Estate House, Prado, and The Mission, and had good things to say about all of them (I have to add, though, he doesn’t keep his identity secret, and the restaurants are expecting his visits. If he didn’t praise the eateries, that would be pretty sad). In last week’s newsletter, he hit up Phoenix restaurants NOCA, Quiessence, and Barrio Cafe. Now I can only hope he takes the time to get Valley restaurants onto the pages of Esquire…
