Longing for Simpler Times

I could use one of these right now.

Ever the design dork, I wanted to try Simpler Times beer just because I liked the name and the old-timey look. It was a beverage of choice at a First Friday open house.

Yes, it was an ordinary pilsner — light, crisp, and like making love in a canoe (fucking close to water). Not my kind of beer, in general. I like Belgians and weird asskicking stuff.

But it was ice cold, and the host of the party kindly informed me that a six-pack of said brewski can be had for only three bucks at Trader Joe’s. ‘Nuff said.
