Anybody want to buy a bistro?

Madelyn’s chef-owner Brian Ford says he’s looking to sell his Anthem eatery, and it’s just about turnkey.

“We were unfortunately pushed into closing our doors by our own bank, out of the blue, two days before Christmas,” Ford says. “They didn’t notify us, and they drained us of our operating money to pay off our line of credit.”

It’s a sad turn of events for a noteworthy local chef. Madelyn’s was Ford’s impressive leap into restaurant ownership; prior to that, he was the chef at Quiessence. — Michele Laudig
