Our sister paper, Westword, has a tasty interview today with Mark Tarbell. His Phoenix restaurant, Tarbell’s, has long been a Valley favorite, and he also runs two organic pizza joints in the Denver area.

The always-entertaining Tarbell  — one of his claims to fame is beating Cat Cora on Iron Chef — doesn’t disappoint in this interview.

“If I’m ignoring you,” he tells Westword’s Lori Midson, “it’s because I’m having a food daydream — some taste memory is floating by.”

Check back tomorrow, when we’ll link to the second part of Midson’s interview.
