Matt’s Big Breakfast: New, Bigger Location Now Open

For those still wondering what to do this holiday weekend, checking out the new and bigger location of Matt’s Big Breakfast might be reason enough to drag your late-sleeping ass out of bed.

The restaurant in Central Phoenix, from chef-owner Matt Poole, is as famous for its exceptional homemade breakfast dishes as it it is for its long lines. Which is why the new space, a few doors north of the old Matt’s in the former Verde location, will accommodate more of Matt’s fans by seating around 50 people (twice the number of the original restaurant) in addition to having its own restroom (that’s right, no more next-door Coronado Hotel.)

The new Matt’s will keep the same phone number, menu, and hours. Poole plans to convert the old location (which he’s had for eight years) to a takeout-only business with a limited menu once the new Matt’s is up and running smoothly.
