Hungry for your early morning serving of food news, with no preservatives or additives?

Beer Week 2011 Continues…
4 days down and 4 days to go. Tonight’s events start early and end late, that means you have no excuse to fit at least one pint into your Wednesday.

Ditch work early for a special tasting at Total Wine & Spirits in Phoenix with Montana Brewery Big Sky. Starting today at 3 p.m. meet the head brewer and sample the entire Big Sky product line. The event is free, take advantage and expand your beer horizons.

If you happen to be in the Scottsdale area, swing by Papago Brewing for New Belgium Night. The Colorado brewery will be tapping a few specialty beers and giving away cool New Belgium swag.

Will you step up to support New Times this year?

At New Times, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $15,500 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $30,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of New Times, now’s the time to give back.

$30,000

And for you true beer heads, tonight is the Flemish Sour Blending Seminar at the Chandler Whole Foods. This event has been the talk of the craft beer town, be sure to call ahead and reserve your spot. 480-821-9447.

Check out Arizonabeerweek.com for more Wednesday night events.

Party Pancakes!
Yes it’s Arizona Beer Week, but the rest of the country is celebrating Pancake Week! Okay, we’re not exactly sure how much they are celebrating but we want in on the party regardless. Soak up the lingering alcohol with a batch of Cake Batter Pancakes. We think they are much better then any pancake mix. Mix in a bottle of totally obnoxious sprinkles to make them party pancakes. Hooray!
