Since 2012, knowing you could find well-known local mixologist Travis Nass and his signature handlebar mustache — not to mention his excellent craft cocktails — at Lon’s at the Hermosa Inn has as much of a draw as the resort’s impressive desert landscapes and vistas. But as of last week, the 2015 Arizona Culinary Hall of Fame inductee will no longer be found behind the stick at the Paradise Valley bar.

Nass has left his post at the resort to pursue beverage consulting jobs at Valley restaurants, hotels, and resorts.

“Laying down roots at one spot is always great and I’m certainly taking meetings with several properties, but this is also a great time to focus on my freelance consulting around town,” Nass says.

In addition to offering custom cocktail programs and menu development, Nass is available to consult on product sourcing, barback layout, bar appliance selection, and in-depth staff training and implementation guides. Nass offers complimentary 20-minute consultations and beverage menu assessments, after which he can create a custom proposal for customers.
