The game isn’t til Tuesday, but a couple Valley restaurants are starting the party early with a few killer food and drink specials. You might want to join them. Check it out…
If you happen to be in the midst of all the action, downtown pop into the District American Kitchen and take advantage of their daily happy hour specials. From 3 to 7 p.m. and then again from 10 p.m. to close, chow down on a number of small plates including bacon wrapped dates, buffalo sliders and pretzel bite fondue, all for under $4. House wines, sangria and draft beers run $5 – $3.
Sapporo in Scottsdale is lighting things up with a specialty sushi roll just for MLB fans. The $17 Rivalry Fire Roll is filled with lobster, Tempura, Crab Mix, Masago, Avocado, Cucumber, and Jalapeño, topped with Sautéed Shrimp, Shiitake Mushrooms, Onion, and a Spicy Sauce, set on fire. Pair the fiery roll with a cooling cucumber sake martini for $10.

Starting today, Rico’s American Grill at the Pointe Squaw Peak is offering happy hour prices any time an MLB event is broadcast. Score half price appetizers $2 drafts, well & wine for $5 and buckets ‘o beer for $10. Plus, they have five high def TV’s for your viewing pleasure. The special prices are through July 12th.

And Sunday through Tuesday, catch all the action at the Pointe in Tyme‘s All-Star viewing party. All six flat screens will be tuned in to the action and happy hour prices will be in full effect for the entire evening. $2 bud light drafts, $3 off house wine & well, $2 off the entire lounge menu.   If you are looking for more things to do, people to see and meals to eat downtown, check out Jackalope Ranch’s complete roundup of everything but the game here.
