My Mom’s Thai Kitchen, the new casual Thai eatery in Downtown Phoenix, moved into the space formerly occupied by Five R Cha Thai (R Cha means horse) and, prior to that, Thai Elephant, last month.
The family-owned restaurant, whose inspiration for its name needs no explanation, features a sizable menu of mostly Thai dishes (think curries, soups, and noodle and rice entrees) as well as a separate listing of lunch specials served Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

My Mom’s Thai Kitchen also hosts a happy hour from 4 p.m. until close every day with specials on beer, wine, and appetizers.
