Even Martha deserves a night off, so this week we’re offering you the option to ditch the kitchen for the bar.

It’s hard to find a decent restaurant open Mondays in this metropolis (particularly in Phoenix, but other ‘hoods, as well), which is why we’re delighted to remind you that Digestif — the super-groovy bar/restaurant at the Waterfront in downtown Scottsdale — is open seven days (and nights) a week.

You can hit the place from 5 to 6 pm for “Green Hour” and try the absinthe (though the New York Times recently labeled it passe) or sample our favorite new cocktail, called “They Make Pie”.

Are sweet and spicy drinks “in” or is it just us? Suddenly, spicy sangria is popping up at all the right parties (cheater’s trick: spike yours with Trader Joe’s Spiced Apple Cider) and we’ve been meaning to pick up a bottle of Domaine Canton ginger liqueur.

This year, make your gift count –

$30,000

Turns out, it was easier to hit Digestif. Check out the ingredients on this cocktail and admit you’ll never be able to stick to just one:

brandy, Domaine Canton ginger liqueur, Calvados, Tuaca, cinnamon, pumpkin seeds, fresh orange and lemon — over ice — with an Aggazzotti float and craisins.

The perfect ending to a Monday.
