Over a year has passed since former luxury hotel executives Tom Kelly and Brian Pierce opened TK’s Urban Tavern in the Scottsdale Quarter in January of last year. Now, the two have embarked on their second, tavern-y Scottsdale venture: Tavern Americana.
At 20469 North Hayden Road (North Hayden and Thompson Peak Parkway), in the former home of O’Donoghue’s Pub, Tavern Americana opened last week for dinner only starting a 5 p.m. (lunch hours will follow).
Here’s what diners can expect.
The restaurant’s menu of casual American eats comes courtesy of culinary partner Patrick Fegan. Fegan also heads up TK’s Urban Tavern and has previously worked at Fiamma, Olive & Ivy, and Gallo Blanco. Diners can look for dishes such as house made sweet potato gnocchi, a Niman Ranch steak salad, giant burgers, and flatbreads from Tavern Americana’s wood-fired oven.
In addition to several HD TVs, the restaurant also features patio seating, private dining rooms, and an open bar with several draft selections.
