Today was a beautiful day for a latte, so I stopped by two-week-old Jobot Coffee Shop (918 N. 5th St.), which took over the old HoodRide space next to Made Boutique on Roosevelt Row. The coffee, a custom roast by local fave Cartel, was delicious, and the breeze blowing through the open windows felt like heaven. And then I ran into one of my dear friends, and couldn’t think of a better start to the day.
This is the latest creation from the folks behind Conspire, just down the block. After getting a remodel, Conspire’s is now a smoothie shop and expanded hangout, while Jobot handles the coffee operation.
Soon, they’ll seal the newly pavered front patio and fill it with umbrella tables.
