Award-winning pastry chef Christine D’Angeli has worked for The Ritz-Carlton, as well as for acclaimed chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten (at Hotel Icon in Houston, Texas), and she’s even starred in two episodes of Food Network Challenge.
Now, she’s set up her pastry-making HQ — Slice Cake Designs — right smack in the middle of CenPho, in the 7th Street space that used to house Toast Breakfast Boutique.
D’Angeli makes exquisite wedding cakes, party cakes, lolli-cakes, cupcakes, and cookies in flavors like red velvet, pumpkin, and cinnamon-apple.
She also sells treats at the Old Town Farmers Market (Saturdays) and the Ahwatukee Farmers Market (Sundays).
Will you step up to support New Times this year?
At New Times, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $17,250 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $30,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of New Times, now’s the time to give back.
Slice is open by appointment only, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. Call 480-522-9520 for more info.
