Not long ago, Sacks Art of Sandwicherie left its strip mall digs at 48th Street and Indian School for a larger, two story, bright orange building down the street. The new location was designed to not only house Sacks but also the sandwich shop’s new dinner venture, Cave & Ives.
Cave and Ives quietly opened at the end of April with an eclectic menu featuring a mix of Mediterranean and Italian cuisine. Wood fired pizzas, flat bread sandwiches and pasta dishes are accompanied by an impressive beer and wine selection. There are plenty of local brews on draft including Papago Brewery’s Coconut Joe and Orange Blossom.
Open Monday – Thursday 4 – 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday 4 -11 p.m. Closed Sunday.
Join them for happy hour from 4 – 6 p.m. on the expansive patio overlooking Indian School and score $1.50 off draft beer and wine and 25% off apps.
