The national Mongolian stir-fry chain Genghis Grill has made its way to the Valley. First stop — Glendale. (okay, there is one at Tempe Marketplace but it’s owned by different folks)
The Dallas-based chain is a lot like locally owned Y.C.’s Mongolian Grill — just a bit bigger, a bit brighter, a bit fresher and a bit pricier.
And they seem to be on a mission to conquer the fast-casual Mongolian grill scene with plans to open 10 more locations in the next three years –starting with the opening of Paradise Valley and Chandler locations toward the end of July.
Get in line and fill your bowl with your choice of fresh (as in “not frozen”) proteins (steak, crab, scallops, pepperoni — what?!) and fresh veggies, sauce it up, then hand it over to one of the master stir-fryers who will cook it up and throw it back in your bowl.
