Since the demise of Phoenix’s lone cheese shop, Petit Fromage, Valley cheese lovers have been patiently waiting for the cheese gods to again bless us with a new place to pick up chunks of Gouda, Asiago and Brie.
Good news — the wait is over.
Wedge & Bottle, the Valley’s newest cheese shop, quietly opened its doors May 3rd in Awhatukee next to the Chandler Blvd. Trader Joe’s. The shop offers 75 different types of local, domestic and imported cheeses along with a selection of charcuterie meats, wine, beer and specialty jams, honey, pasta and oils.
The shop isn’t just for take out — stop in for one of the shops signature hot sandwiches on fresh bread or nibble on a cheese plate while you unwind with a glass of wine.
Wedge & Bottle is open Tuesday – Sunday 11 – 7 p.m. Closed Monday. Check out their website wedgebottle.com and mark your calenders for the official grand opening party June 25th.
