The chain-infested historic-district corner of Seventh Avenue and McDowell just got a little more classy. First came Vovomeena, the breakfast and brunch spot owned by the Tuck Shop’s DJ Fernandes, and now, a sophisticated boutique selling premium olive oils and balsamics called Olivastro.

Locally owned Olivastro, which opened last week, receives its olive oils and balsamics from farmers all over the globe. There are over 35 products on tap (which are bottled on the spot). And (bonus) there’s a tasting bar manned with a knowledgeable staff person who can help you decide which one is best for you.
A great gift (or two) for the holidays? Now you’re cookin’ with oil.
Featuring categories of extra virgin and fused/infused olive oils, white and dark balsamics, and sample packs, Olivastro carries new harvests as they arrive (think items like premium extra virgin olive oils from Chile and Australia). And if it’s gift baskets you’re after, they can be customized with any flavors of your choosing.
