A round-up of tasty morsels from Valley food blogs.
Saturday, May 14th will be the last market until the fall for McClendon’s Select at the Old Town Scottsdale Farmers’ Market. You can still find them at the Town & Country Farmers’ Market on Wednesdays through June 22nd but then after that they will be done selling at the markets until the weather cools down later this year.
Mouth By Southwest shared the news of new Valley food blog to follow. It’s called Back Pocket Recipes written by Chef Shelley Sikora, the woman who launched Bobby Q and has written and published several cookbooks. It just started in April and already has several delectable recipes like chocolate pasta and instructions for how to make mozzarella.
Gwen Ashley Walters took the time to share her experience making limequat jam using Edible Phoenix editor Pamela Hamilton’s backyard fruit. Check out all the puckery sweet fun on over at Walter’s blog, Pen and Fork.
Will you step up to support New Times this year?
At New Times, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $16,750 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $30,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of New Times, now’s the time to give back.
Hey metro Phoenix eaters, if you have a food blog or know of one we’ve missed, leave word in the comments section.
