Seattle-based artist Photographer Christopher Boffoli sees our lives played out in miniature, and on food, in his collection, “Disparity,” which has been shown in galleries across the United States.
According to the Daily Mail, Boffoli spent three years capturing everyday scenes for the series using only items from the grocery store and tiny plastic figures. The miniature scenes range from a man mowing broccoli, to a funeral on white rice, to nuns praying over a nude couple on an avocado.
“I have to be extra selective in choosing food that looks good,” Boffoli told the Daily Mail. “But I particularly like working with patisserie because I can nibble on the leftovers after the shoot.”
