Bye-bye Rumbi, hello Inca’s.
Rumbi Island Grill, part of a chain in Utah, Idaho, Colorado, and Arizona, has said, “aloha” to its location in the Scottsdale Promenade (next to Subway and Picazzo’s Organic Italian Kitchen), and will soon be a second home for Inca’s Peruvian Cuisine.
The original location of Inca’s, in Tucson’s Foothills, opened in November of 2009 courtesy of owner Fatima Campos, according to the Arizona Daily Star. At that time, Campos brought in chef Walter Salazar who eventually left and, as of August of this year, opened up his own restaurant, Villa Peru, in Tempe.
Perfect timing given the growing popularity of Peruvian cuisine. Look for an eclectic variety of traditional dishes such as well as desserts, beverages, and cocktails.
