You might think Valley diners are all about greasy Mexican food or gigantic chain restaurant-style portions, but a new study by Dole Fresh Vegetables claims Phoenicians are among the top salad eaters in the nation.
The company conducted an 18-month study where it examined in-store buying habits and at-home consumption. While big cities such as Los Angeles and New York City also made the list of about 20 salad-crazy places, smaller towns such as Lansing, Mich. and Kansas City, Mo. also made the cut.
The study was conducted in conjunction with the launch of Dole’s newly packaged salads, which includes more than 30 blends and nine salad kits. For more info, log on to www.dole.com.
