Pholicious (7582 W Cactus Rd. Ste. B5, Peoria, 623-773-2020) serves up a lunch special combo that includes the soup of the day, a crispy wonton, all you can drink iced tea, steamed white or fried rice and the main meal of your choice from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for only $6.95.
On a recent visit, the soup of the day — egg flower — was delicious, with a thick and eggy broth filled with diced tofu, peas and carrots and seasoned with fresh cilantro.
A dome of vegetable fried rice and Orange Chicken (served with a sauce made with real oranges) were equally satisfying, and both that dish and the General Tsao’s Chicken were made with white meat.
Now that’s a deal.
